Hey there, folks! The Fox and Ember Fantasy Ball is riiiiiiiight around the corner, and we’ve done some fun stuff this past week in preparation. I’ll share some of those tidbits, and important updates below.

We got together with the cast to take some photos and video, mostly for fun and promotional material, and to get to know each other! Sadly, we were missing our Lord of Foxes, but we look forward to meeting them at the ball proper.

You’ll find some of those photos/video on our instagram in the coming days.

Well, more of a brainstorm session, really. We met with Emily Foxtrot to walk through some of the ideas she had for dance instruction at the ball, and a handful of folks from the Fox and Ember Discord showed up to support! Was awesome to meet more of your faces, and we made some pretty good progress on what can be taught at the event.

For context: during the ball, we’ll have a small slice dedicated to some organized, group dance, and we aimed to evoke a very specific moment from one of our favorite movies, involving a would-be knight and his foxy lady.

There are still plenty of hotel block rooms available, so if you even think you’ll need one, be sure to make a reservation. Most of you folks are local, but it’s gonna be a late night.

Remember that a reservation now reserves the discounted rate. You don’t pay for anything until you actually check in, and you can always cancel prior.

That said, the last day to book is the 23rd of September. After that, they release the remaining hotel block rooms to the general public again.

If you’re going to Fox and Ember Fantasy Ball and are looking for a way to share it in an Instagram reel, or via TikTok, I made a template that’ll make it easy (?) to do just that.

After that, just download it as an .mp4 or a .jpg and post it up on your social!

I’d say it’s “easy” to use, by Canva standards. But that’s a pretty low bar to climb over. The seed of the idea came from a member of the Discord who was looking for a way to share that they’re going, and now you can, too!
